^NOTE **There is much confusion between this Richard (RIN 3) and his nephew, Richard Oglesby (RIN 1628), son of William, Richard (RIN 3)'s brother. As of July 1995 all is a mess! (and so it remains 5 Feb 2000!)
!From this Richard came the Heads and other allied families of Oldham and Jefferson Co, Kentucky. Among his children was Jacob who married Isabel Watson, dau. of James R. Watson. They were the parents of James Richard Oglesby, one time governor of Illinois, statesman, and general in the Federal Army. Mother of James not specified. DEW states a daughter was SUSANNAH WARE OGLESBY b. 1782 who married a JAMES HEAD in 1802.

^NOTE ** This Richard seems to have been living in Kentucky as late as 1798, making it unlikely, as claimed by ARR & DHO, that he is the Richard Oglesby who married Susan ? and whose will was proved in Virginia in 1811.
