^NAME **Most documents state her name was NANCY. DEW states her name was Nancy Ann; CEP shows ANN SUSAN (NANCY); others have SUSAN ANN (NANCY). It must be remembered that Nancy was a common nickname for Ann/Anne, so her original name may have been Ann, but she was known as Nancy. A document provided by DEW states her name was legally NANCY but she was called ANN, which seems reversed. And below, it seems her name may have been Nancy Susannah Savage, with her nickname indeed being "Ann" from Susannah!

Cash on 6/7/1778 in Amherst Co., Virginia. This is the same date and county you had for his marriage to Nancy Savage, so I decided to look for a marriage between Nancy Savage and ? Cash. I found a marriage on the World Family Tree Volume 1 CD for Nancy Susannah Savage and Benjamin Cash in 1762. This must have been her previous marriage which would make sense if she was Richard's third wife. Just thought I'd pass it on. Linda
