The commonly reported 1684 birth date of Apphia conflicts with the 1688 marriage date of her parents and makes her age an unlikely 28 when she married William Fautleroy in 1812. A birth date of 1694 seems more likely.

PROP: Purchased tract of land known as the 'Old Planation' or the 'old House Tract' which contained 1,000 acres. It lay onthe bank of the Rappahannock River above the Naylors Hole tract and was separated from it by a small creek called Doctor's Creek.
PROP: besides these lands he owned 1000 acres near Farnham Church called 'Quintenoak' which he inherited from his grandfather Col. Samuel Griffin.
PROP: When he died he left both of these tracts to his eldest son, William(4)
PROP: William also purchased the Naylors Hole tract between Doctor's Creek and Rappahannock Creek, but he never lived there.
