Dr. George Gilmer’s first wife, Ann Ridgway, lived in London and died there without issue while Dr. George Gilmer made his initial trip to Williamsburg. They were married at St Andrews by the Wardrobe, which is about 1 mile from St Paul’s Cathedral,London,   along the banks of the River Thames, next to the Apothecary Guild Hall.
