Notes for Thompson Gray Snyder
Apparently quite a prosperous farmer; Grandma (Rosa Bell) remembers a pleasant life at home, roasting apples and chestnuts by the fire in winter and putting up ice in sawdust in the ice house.
After the death of his wife, he became despondent and finally committed suicide by hanging himself in his son Dan's barn. His eldest daughter, Genettie, and her husband Challie Park (uncle of Gomer Park) managed to get most of the estate for themselves, causing rifts in the family that remained till the last of the children died.
