Hugh Rodman to Henry R. Johnson and M. H. Stivers
This Indenture made and entered into this 22nd Day of June A. D. 1870. between Hugh Rodman and Susan A. Rodman his wife of the County of Franklin State of Kentucky of the first part, and Henry R. Johnson and M. H. Stivers of the County of Shelby and State aforsd of the Second part, Witnesseth that the sd Hugh Rodman for and in Consideration of the sum fifty five hundred Dollars ($5500) one third of which is now in hand paid one third to be paid one year from this date and the remaining one third in two years from this date without interest for which the sd Johnson and Stivers have this Day executed and Devised their promisory Note to the sd Rodman has and does hereby sell and convey unto the parties of the second part, fairly and in equal interest the following described two tracts or parcels of Land lying and being in Shelby county State of Kentucky situated on the Louisville and Frankfort Railroad and known as the Cropper Depot place, and the same conveyed to the party of the first part by W. P. D. Bush by Deed of Record in the Shelby county Clerks Office. The first tract bounded as follows:
Beginning at a stone corner to Thomas Smith in Stephen Halls line, Thence N 44 E 16 3/4 poles to a stone in Smiths line, Thence S 46 E 14 1/4 poles to a stone, Thence S 44 W 19 3/4 poles to a stone in Halls line on the side of the Harrodsburg road, Thence with the road and Halls line N 4 1/2 poles to a stone on the east side of said road in a small branch, corner to Halls, Thence with said road N 46 W 13 1/4 poles to the beginning containing one acre more or less.
The second tract is bounded as follows,
Beginning at a stone corner to the tract or parcel of land above named, Thence S 43 1/2 W 20 44/100 poles to a stone in the Harrodsburg and New Castle road, corner to Stephen Halls, Thence along said Road S 1 3/4 W 112 1/2 poles to a stone, corner to A. Tucker, Thence S 54 1/2 W 33 40/100 poles to a stone, corner to sd Tucker, Thence with Tuckers line S 3/4 W 3 poles to a stone corner to Stivers, Thence N 87 1/2 E 26 78/100 poles to a stone in the sd road corner to Evans, Thence N 85 1/2 E 67 16/100 poles to a stake on the railroad, Thence N 24 W 32 30/100 poles to a Telegraph Post, Thence N 13 1/4 W 40 84/100 poles to a stake on sd Railroad, Thence N 13 9/100 W 60 64/100 poles to a stake in the line of T. Smiths Heirs, Thence S 45 W 31 24/100 poles to a stake corner to the tract first aforsd, Thence S 44 1/2 E 14 56/100 poles to the Beginning. Containing fifty four acres and sixteen poles more or less.
To have and to hold the same together with the appurtenances Thereunto belonging unto them the sd Henry R. Johnson and M. H. Stivers each the undivided half thereof and their heirs and assigns forever and the sd Hugh Rodman for himself his Exctr Heirs and assigns, Covenant that he will forever warrant the ___?___ to the property hereby Conveyed against the claims of all persons. And the sd Susan A. Rodman hereby relinquishes and Conveys unto the parties of the second part all right or claim to Dower of the sd two tracts of Land by this Deed Conveyed this day and year aforsd.

Stivers was this Day produced to me in my office, Stamped with Six Dollars United States Revenue Stamp and the foregoing Certificate there on Endorsed, Whereupon Said Deed and the Certificate and this Certificate are Duly admitted to Record, in my office.
