Biography notes for Elizabeth Woodhouse
Elizabeth was the oldest daughter of Henry Woodhouse (1607–1655). She was born in Norfolk County, England, about 1631. The family immigrated to Lynnhaven Parish, Norfolk, Virginia in 1637. By 1655 she had married Giles Collins; she is named as Elizabeth Collins in her father’s 1655 Will. She was the mother of a number of children.

Research notes for Elizabeth Woodhouse
Elizabeth was born before Henry immigrated to Virginia in 1637. Some sources say she was the daughter of a first wife, Judith Sprangler (?–1636), along with sister Judith, while the remainder of the children were from a second wife, Mariah Carter.
