Obituary Notice clipping DEATH OF DR M. F. ANDERSON Well-Known Dundee Practitioner (hand-written note on clipping "1926") The death has occurred at Pitlochry of Dr M. F. Anderson, of 161 Princes Street, Dundee, a much-respected member of the local medical profession. Dr Anderson went to the North Perthshire resort on the spring holiday. About a week ago he caught a chill, pneumonia supervened, and he passed away yesterday. Dr Anderson was a native of Avonbridge, Stirlingshire. He was trained as a chemist, and subsequently studied medicine at Aberdeen University, graduating in 1885. Thereafter he started practice in the eastern district of Dundee, and soon acquired a large clientele. He was a skillful and careful practitioner, and he threw himself whole-heartedly into his work. Of a most kindly and generous disposition, he was beloved by all who came in contact with him. By his patients, to whom he was ever a trusted counsellor and kindhearted friend, he will be sadly missed. Dr Anderson, who was over 70 years of age, is survived by Mrs Anderson and two sons and a daughter. One of his sons, who holds an appointment as an engineer in Bombay, is at present on his way home. The other son and the daughter (Mrs Richie) are both resident of Canada.
