George lived above and worked at the Sorrento General Store, on Shuswap Lake, and ran the post office. He was an old friend of Bert. Both he and his wife Sally were English and raised one son named Stanley. Stanley wanted to be an engineer, but enrolled in the Canadian merchant navy in the middle of WWII and died when his ship was torpedoed off the coast of South Africa and went down with all hands. Sally died of Cancer in 1940.

Second marriage for both

Bill was an Englishman who settled in Sorrento with his first wife, who died sometime in the 1920s. He is the Deputy Registrar of record on Mary Isobel Anderson’s National Registration Certificate from 1940.
