• Samuel was descendant of Robert, first, the Settler 1635. He was an active and prominent citizen. J. P. 1737 to 1743. Captain of trainband of Saybrook, 1720; Captain of trainband of Tolland, Conn., 1735. He is mentioned also of Stafford, Conn. Said to have resided in Westbrook, Conn. The date of his death or place of burial seems to be unknown.3254, p 53
