• They lived in Alamo/Danville, CA and had a ranch (The Yellowjacket) up at Calistoga, CA. At the time they raised and showed Arabian horses.
Leroy was a very successful businessman (electrical contractor or manufacturer, I don’t recall) and I think his son, George, now has the business which is in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Leroy’s relationship to me was that he and my mother had the same great grandparent from Switzerland.1129
• LeRoy was against the internment of Japanese-Americans during World War II and served as custodian of the property of some of these persons.

I suppose little Gertie was too small to accompany us, but she welcomed her good friend Farnham on his return with her sweetest smile as, “Lily Roy” (Le Roy).1127, p 2
