• A resident of Rockford all his life, Mr. Thayer was born here June 12, 1873, the son of Marcus C. and Cornelia Thayer. Until he was taken ill, he was employed by the Woodward Governor company. He was a former member of the Elks club.
Surviving are his widow Agnes, a daughter, Mrs. Portia Bonzi, of Rockford; two sons, Bruce and Don Thayer, both at home; and a brother, Ernest Thayer, of Rockford. His first wife and one brother preceded him in death.1794
