Death of Clark P. Hubbell.
Clarke Payne Hubbell died yesterday in this city. He was a native of Michigan, and has resided on this Coast since 1852. He first engaged in business with W. S. Gage & Co. of Austin, Nev., and later with J. C. Hampden of Virginia City. In 1872 he took an interest in the firm of Wooster, Hubbell & Co., of this city, which firm was afterward changed to Hubbell, Shattuck & Co. He amassed a fortune during his commercial career. [7747]
