Individual Notes
• My mother Dorothy Johanna was an only child as am I, so the lineage is brief though we have four children and ten grandchildren.1201, p 1

• I was a school psychologist for 20 years after the youngest went to third grade. It was great as I had the same hours and vacations as the children and we went to the cottage all summer.5199

• When Wayne and I were in Goslar in 1995, we contacted several archives without results, but finally ended at the Stadtarchiv which had just moved into a new building and all of their records were still in 7,000 cartons.!1200, p 22

• As to we oldsters; memory lapses, fumbling and falling asleep sitting up have increased.
Dorothy runs around going to exercise, tae-chi, line dancing, may jongg, book club, Bible study, resident council and is finally trying to learn bridge.
Often we ask, “Why me?” when we think of how fortunate we are to have been born in the United States. May the Good Lord see fit to continue to bless us all and especially the United States!5200

MotherKLESSIG
Individual Notes
• Wayne’s mother’s maiden name is Klessig and his first book was on the Klessig family. We visited their churches etc. in Saxony while we were in Germany.5202

• Wayne was finally diagnosed with diabetes after several hospital visits and he has been handling it like a trooper. New contraptions make it easier. He is back to painting and just read “Unbroken” - highly recommended.
We are happily celebrating Wayne’s 90th birthday this week.5200
