• Now about Floyd. I believe he was a child of Diana’s but not of Jacob’s. From the records I have found so far, when a child was illegitimate, they were bound. At least this has been my experience in Alleghany Co.
Unless there is information in the county records, there probably will never be a way to determine who Floyd’s father is.1927, p 2
