• Now about Floyd. I believe he was a child of Diana’s but not of Jacob’s. From the records I have found so far, when a child was illegitimate, they were bound. At least this has been my experience in Alleghany Co.
Unless there is information in the county records, there probably will never be a way to determine who Floyd’s father is. [1927, p 2]
• I still believe Floyd is Dianah’s illegitimate child but would certainly like to find a way of proving it, or proving otherwise. [1925, p 1] I have my notes in a box with many other notes, about how long Dianah tried to collect child support from Jacob, when she started and when she stopped. [1925, p 2]
• He was a retired farmer and attended the Spiritual Science Church. [2469]
• Acquired land in Custer County, Nebraska in 1913. [7386]

Surviving are five daughters and four sons, of whom Wilbur is a member of the Long Beach fire department and Raymond of the police department. She also leaves two sisters, 20 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. [1507]
