• There were none who possessed the manly virtures which distinguished many of our frontier population in a higher degree than Ebenezer Paddock, who is still remembered by some of our oldest citizens, and who at the time of his death in 1848 (in Vigo County, Ind.) was universally esteemed for his integrity of character.
