• [excerpts] George G. Armstrong, 75, 951 Ninth East street, former Third district court judge, died in a Salt Lake hospital at 6:30 a.m. of a cerebral hemorrhage.
He came to Salt Lake City shortly after gaining his law degree. In 1900 Judge Armstrong was appointed deputy county clerk and four years later he was elected to the bench as Third district judge which position he held until 1916.
A member of Sigma Chi fraternity, Mr. Armstrong was feted by the Beta Epsilon chapter in 1937 after having been affiliated with he fraternity 50 years.

George is a brother of our good friend Dr. C. A. Armstrong for years a practicing physician in Prairie du Chien and now living in Dousman, Wis. and of Archie in Milwaukee.8476
