• John Waddle married, in 1806, Nancy Mann, who was born in Kentucky. Her father, William Mann, a native of Augusta County, Virginia, married Eleanor Raeburn, and soon after moved to Kentucky, locating in the Blue Grass region, between Lexington and Georgetown. Mr. Mann died leaving three daughters, Elizabeth, Nancy and Mary.

990• p. 327, Indenture, May 27, 1794, Robert Patterson and Elizabeth Patterson, of Fayette county, to WILLIAM MANN of the same county, for 50 pounds, a tract on Cane Run waters in Fayette County, part of a settlement and preemption in the name of John Maxwell, etc. Acknowledged in County Court, August 1794 term, at which time Elizabeth Patterson relinquished dower rights, and recorded by the Fayette Circuit Court, April 25, 1804.
