Northwest quarter of the northeast quarter of the section on the Carl Cole Farm only a short distance from the residence and in a small grove of trees. From the intersection of Route 5 and Route E (about 2 fi miles south of Bell Air, Missouri) take Route E west. Cross the Petite Saline Creek and then about fi mile to the farm of Mr. Carl Cole.
History:
This cemetery was established by Mr. Henry Woolery on his land. The data and list of these graves were supplied by Mr. Chatham Read from a list he had recorded and a list made up by Mrs. Belle Woolery some years previously.

There is a bronze plaque which denotes the site of the Floydsburg Methodist Church 1818 ?1909, and also a bronze plaque marking the site of the Floydsburg School in the cemetery. A Cemetery Charter was issued by the State of Kentucky to Floydsburg Cemetery Company on Feb 19, 1894. Duncan Memorial Chapel stands near the entrance of the cemetery. Location is on Hwy 1408 in Floydsburg, 1?2 miles south of Crestwood. 1816 was earliest burial found. N 38∞ 18' 35.3'' W 085∞ 27' 29.4''

In the Meriweather Society Database is the listing of Maria Louise "Lula" Oglesby b.9Sept1866 in Bedford Co VA married to William Douglas Meriwether b.9Oct1863 and a listing of 8 children, of which 5 have issue and most of those children have issue listed for 1-2 generations that are direct Meriweather descendants.
Your database correctly lists that Lula's parents were Lodwick McDaniel Oglesby and Virginia Marion Braford b.3Apr1837 in Rockbridge Co VA. I would suggest that some of these Meriweather descendants might be interested in their "Braford" ancestry in far more detail than is listed. The database correctly lists that Virginia Marion Braford's parents were Spottswood Braford b.18Sept1795 in Rockbridge Co VA and Rebecca Sterrett b.1801 Rockbridge Co VA. In the late 1800's another of Spottswood Brafords children was kind enough to write in his own handwriting the Family Record of the Sterrett lineage back to Captain John Wyatt of Caroline Co VA who married Jennie Jane Pamplin in 1711 and the Braford line back 2 Generations to Samuel Braford who settled in Augusta Co abt 1742. I first learned of this information in a privately published family history "Genealogy of the Braford Family in Virginia 1740-1968, Book One by Earl Nevette Chiles, Sr 1968 and Book Two by Dorothy White Binns 1968". I have spent over 5 years obtaining various original records that support the information and document individual facts that in the original are presented and listed references are in the form of a Bibliography. Local Courthouse records, wills, and marriages make it quite easy to verify this information. There are also several records written in the 1800's by various family members and several Bible records at the Library of Virginia which assist us greatly.
The only controversy of information in the Braford Genealogy exists in the information presented as to the parentage of Captain John Wyatt married to Jennie/Jane Pamplin. The Braford lists it as John Wyatt son of John Wyatt son of Hawte Wyatt b.1594 Allington Castle, Boxley, Kent, England whose ancestry is known positively back to Royal lineages of England. Others claim Captain John Wyatt married to Jennie/Jane Pamplin was the son of William Wyatt of VA who's ancestors are not documented. I have been studying this issue for 5 years and collecting various original records and do not as of yet claim to know the answer.

I found the marriage for Washington Oglesby & Maria Ogg in Jefferson Co. Marriage Book 1, pg. 101. That page is very hard to read and it looks like they squeezed this entry between two others. I didn't get a chance to look for the actual marriage bond.
I found the marriage for Washington Oglesby & Maria Ogg in Jefferson Co. Marriage Book 1, pg. 101. That page is very hard to read and it looks like they squeezed this entry between two others. I didn't get a chance to look for the actual marriage bond.

After obtaining the consent of the remaining descendants, the consent of the cemetery board of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, he gathered up all the fragments of stones and had them buried around the memorial marker. The remains of bodies were not removed.
Three Clark burials were interred in the “Old Hutchison Family Cemetery”, in Section 25, T-47-N; R-18-w; about two miles south of Bell Air, Missouri on the Virgil Doty farm; just north of the present residence. The markers that remained there were removed to this cemetery and buried around a new memorial Marker here. It is probable that there were earlier burials here, but no records remain.
One Revolutionary War Soldier, Robert Kirkpatrick (1763-1841), and one daughter of the American Revolution, Martha Ellen Hartford (1821-1910), are buried here. Each of these graves has been marked by the D. A. R.
The southwestern part of the cemetery is the oldest section. As was often the case, this area was partitioned off for use as a cemetery without the church actually having obtained title to the ground. To regularize this situation, a deed was executed march 4, 1857 before Justice of the Peace John Bailey Cordry wherein David C. Munday and his wife Sarah Amy Munday "sold' to Hugh A. B. Johnston, as agent for the New Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church for the sum of $1.00, the one-quarter acre comprising the cemetery as it was then.
In 1870, the cemetery grounds were enlarged by the addition of one-eighth of an acre, William C. Ewing, Trustee for the church, purchased this land, for $8.00 from Daniel Carl and his wife Mary Carl on Sept. 30, 1870.
Another addition to the cemetery was made in 1935. On November 29th of that year James W. Mayfield and his wife, Ethel Mayfield sold to the New Lebanon church for the sum of $30.00, a parcel and land containing one-fourth acre more or less.
In 1924, the New Lebanon Cemetery Association was formed and a booklet printed which detailed their by-laws, rules, and regulations. The first members of the board were; W. F. Cordry, J. B. Palmer, E. W. Hite, D. L. Rothgeb, J. W. Mayfield, T. S. Neal, and I. A. gander.
