Notes for Andrew J. Snider
In 1888, resided in Kansas City. He went to California, and was successful, returning wealthy. He had engaged in many enterprises, and in 1888 was trading in live stock. He purchased one-half of the Shoe-bar Ranch of 460,000 acres in Texas. He was regarded as one of the solid men of Kansas City. He was president of the First National Bank of Kansas City.
Andrew and Hannah had at least two sons: Chester A. Snider married a daughter of ex-Governor Oglesby, of IL. Another son, a very promising young man, died in California. (Wiseman)
