Thomas Baber enlisted, 1776, in Capt. Thomas Walker's company, Col. Thomas Fleming's 9th Virginia regiment, and, 1777-78, was sergeant in Capt. John Nicholas's company, Col. George Gibson's 1st Virginia regiment. He was born, 1756, and lived in Buckingham County, Va.
