My great great grandmother was Virginia Oglesby, born 8 August 1811 near Pewee Valley, Jefferson CO., KY; died 19 Feb 1896, Comer, McLean CO., KY. She married 8 Aug 1830, Jefferson Co., KY, William Boston (pioneer, farmer, Greek scholar, nurseryman), born 14 July 1806 near Goose Creek, Jefferson Co., KY, and died 18 Aug 1862, on his farm near Comer, McLean County, KY wnere he and Virginia are buried in the Boston family cemetery.
William & Virginia lived on a farm next to her parents in Jefferson Co., KY. In 1834 William bought 34 acres from his wife's parents, east of Louisville. He also bought 26 acres from his siblings at "Pond Settlement" sw of Louisville. In 1846 they moved to Daviess Co. (later McLean Co.), KY where he had 363 acres in the Horseshoe Bend of the Green River. He built a log house on his land. He did not want slaves. Methodist but converted to Disciples of Christ by Alexander Campbell in 1833. William was Administrator for his father's (James Ward Boston) estate 1833, and for his brother's (Esau Boston) estate 1836. 165
