23 Sept. 1824: Benjamin Yager of county of Madison, state of Virginia: To Aaron A. Yager of the same, for and in consideration of $1 paid sold a negro girl called Nancy, age 12 years on 15 Jan. last. Nevertheless, whereas sd Benjamin Yager being willing and desirous to securing to his daughter Mildred Rowe and the heirs begotten of her body, the negro girl aforesaid and her increase, Now this indenture made that the sd Mildred Rowe shall have during her natural life the negro girl Nancy and her increase, subject to the control, management & direction of sd Aaron A. Yager, his exors, and as sd Trustee herein named shall apply the hire of sd negro girl should sd Mildred Rowe at any time consent to have her hired out. It is hereby expressly declared that sd negro girl Nancy & her future increase shall be equally divided among the children of Mildred Rowe. Sig. Benj. Yager, Aaron A. Yager
