To his Excellency The Right Honorable Guy Lord Dorchester, Governor and Commander in Chief of the Province of Quebec:
The memorial of George Wurtele, Josias Wurtele, John George Reinhardt, Jonathan Eckart, Junior, and Gottlieb Bauer….Humbley sheath That your memorialists are Natives of Germany and came into this Province about 4 years ago, and that they are desirous of settling and improving a Tract of land upon the Grand River. They therefore pray your Lordship will be pleased to grant them two hundred acres of land for each person.

5660, p 2• John Reinhart was a Grand Juror in Quebec along with Josias Wurtele, Jonathan Eckart.
5660, p 2• I failed to mention in an earlier message that in (the many) references that I have to John Reinhart in Quebec, one John married Judith Cunningham, daughter of John and Mary Cunningham and then I have another record very shortly after of John marrying Isabella Roberts. The dates make me think that it is the same John. There seem to have been a lot of early deaths, in men and women. Hard to keep track of who they remarried.
1685• Petitioner for the Election of a Curator to the Succession of the said Jonathan Eckart.
1683, p 5 • John Reinhart, Tobacconist of the City of Quebec, Widower, was married (by Licence) to Isabella Roberts, daughter of Isaac Roberts, Shopkeeper, of this City, same City Sponsor, this eighth day of September in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and four. [Witness] Present: Isaac Roberts, father to Isabella Roberts; Jonathan Eckart.
