• Captain Gawin Hamilton, fourth son of Archibald Hamilton, was a party to the partition agreement of 1696, being styled of Liswine, and becoming, with his brother William, owners of the castle portion of Killileagh. He died 1703, aged 73 or thereabouts. He married his cousin Jane, daughter of Archibald Hamilton, minister of Armagh, in 1683.5975, p 5
