Individual Notes
• Wow, Dave. I got a lovely chill when I read your email. I don’t know if my cousins have any information about the descent for Gideon Welles. Grammy Wells (Flora) had that knowledge. Frederick Wells was born in Jericho, Vermont. His mother was a widow and raised her boys there. She was a milliner. I have photographs of the family home there. I also have a photo album of all the northern generals and President Lincoln and Mary Todd Lincoln so I hope there are other documents. I’m going to my mom’s tomorrow for a week and will do some more sleuthing. (You can use the following email address for the week: martha@flyfma.com. ) The family portrait is lovely. Some time when we go to the Mesa house, I’d like to arrange to visit with you. This is very exciting. Martha5852
