• This John McLene is the brother of my ancestor: James McLene, born 10/14/1730; died 3/13/1806. If you Google James McLene you will find him as a farmer and patriot who was in Continental Congress 1779 among other political positions from Franklin Co., PA.
The father of your John McLene (and my James McLene) born Chester Co., PA, was Daniel McLene. I believe this Daniel was the emigrant ancestor. He died 9/5/1770 Chester Co., PA, and buried Fagg’s Manor Graveyard, Londonderry two, Chester Co., PA. His tombstone also mentions his first wife Jean who died 8/8/1755. He was married to an Isabella when he died (she was widow of a Mr. Bailey). His will – dated 12/10/1768; proved 9/18/1770, vol 27 pg 374-5, will book 5 page 209, West Chester, Chester Co, PA, mentions 2nd wife Isabella, sons Patrick, James and John…5872
