• Mrs. Lydia G. Cannon died at the age of 87 years at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. L. Mills, in Thorp. She was born in 1828 and moved to Ohio when 12 years of age, marrying J. H. Cannon in her 20th year and living in Ohion for about 50 years. She crossed the continent eight times before making her home with her daughter at Thorp, after the death of Mr. Cannon in 1900.
She was a meber of the Methodist church for over half a century, and an active member most of that time.
The funeral will take place tomorrow from the M. E. church at Thorp at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, Rev. Clark conducting the services. Interment will be in the Odd Fellows’ cemetery at Thorp, under the direction of M. L. Bridgham, who also had charge of the funeral arrangements.5465

• Mr. Cannon, father of Mrs. J. L. Mills, of Thorp, Wash., died on the 4th, of Brights disease, and was buried in the Thorp cemetery on Thursday. The Rev. Henderson of the M. E. Church conducted the services. Mr. Cannon was a very highly respected citizen, and a devoted Christian, and lived to the ripe old age of four-score years and more. He has lived in Thorp for many years, and will be greatly missed in that community.5463
