• It may be that a Richard Hubball who married Elizabeth Cowlricke is the progenitor, grandfather, of Richard the immigrant.3208, p 3
• Richard Hubbell arrived in the New Haven Colony, probably with his uncle, John Wakeman, in the 1630s-1640s, and lived in Stratford village as an adult. This is modern Bridgeport, CT. He was married three times and had 14 children by these three wives. Thousands of descendants live in Canada, the US and many other countries today.5402

Tried for sedition 1662, as one of a party which supported Dr. Bray Rossiter against the authorities of New Haven Colony. Accepted as freeman, resident at Fairfield, 13 Oct. 1664.3151, p 300
