Samuel Hubbell of Fairfield whose home on the corner of Old Post and South Benson Roads was burned by the British in 1779, owned by the “heirs of Samuel,” Abigail, life tenant. She received £176. 13. 4 settlement of claims, from sale of the “Fire Lands” in Ohio, approved by 1796. Since she was then deceased, her dau Grizzel was the recipient.3208, p 90
