• Zebulon and Barbara Fullerton Hendee were born in Scotland and upon emigrating to America, first settled in Rhode Island and later in Albany (now Saratoga) County, NY. In the spring of 1811, persuaded by their son Jacob, who had walked in the fall of 1810 to Penfield, NY (now Webster), and back, Zebulon and Barbara moved with all their family to Penfield in 1811, and settled on a farm one mile south and a half a mile east of Webster. On 4/27/1816 for $375 he purchased 53 acres 13 rods of land from Daniel Penfield (deed rec bk 6 page 357).2245, p 1
