• One of the things Sadie told me was that Jacob had gone to Gallipolis, Ohio and had walked all the way from there carrying his child on his shoulder and brought her back to Potts Creek. This child was Amilda Alice J. Arritt, mother of the above Marshall Wolfe. Alice was born in Ohio to Jacob and Nancy Ault who died in childbirth. I was told they were never married but I have never searched the records for a marriage.
