• Luke had Lot No. 7 in the Southampton Grant, but as his descendants seem to have lived farther down the Maccan River, it is probable he later moved there himself. He was Town Clerk for Maccan and Southampton in 1783 and for several years thereafter according to his records. Some of his records are to be found in the Museum at Fort Beausejour.2153, p 3
