• In Ernest Coates’ “Read Family History” published in “the Citizen” in 1981, he shows among his references for the family of Robert Collins Read and his wife Mary Hamilton (Nelson) Read: “Reference was from a printed manuscript left by their daughter Frances (Read) Grieves (1826-1918), and the above data was sent to me in long-hand by her great-great-grandson Robert S. Green of Wallaceburg Ont.” [2351]
