Thomas Cushman came to Plymouth on the Fortune in 1621.
He was Elder of the Plymouth Church from 6 April 1649 until his death. [423, p 4]
• Thomas succeeded William Brewster as Ruling Elder upon Brewster’s death in 1644. [4460, p 2]
• Thomas was Elder for 42 years until his death, a most exceptional record. He held various town offices, and was an extremely useful citizen. [1868, p 7]
