[47, p 122]• He was admitted freeman Plymouth Colony 2 March 1635/6 and early removed with his father to a farm on land that became Duxbury. He inherited this home and more than 100 acres of land from his father. In 1637 he volunteered to serve in the Pequot War and is listed in the 1643 enrollment of Standish’s Duxbury Company. He served as grand juryman 1643 and in 1645 became a proprietor of the Duxbury extension which became Bridgewater.
