• Hope became a member when it [Second Baptist Church of Middleboro] was formed and attended communion service after she was one hundred years of age. The Rev. Isaac Backus said that, at her death, 7 December 1782, she had 337 descendants of whom 257 were living, three of whom were Baptist ministers.3629, p 25
