• He removed to Bernardston, now in Franklin Co., before Dec. 6, 1773, as appears by record of “a legal meeting of the Freeholders and other Inhabitants of Bernardston, held at the House of Mr. Elijah Sheldon, in said Town.” [1215, p 158]
• He came to Bernardston between 1770 and 1773, probably settling on the farm situated upon the north side of the Leyden road to Frizzell Hill. [1216, p 440]
• Res Bernardston, Mass. Member Legislature 3 yrs and many town offices. Commissioner to hire men to serve in army. [107, p 222]
