Stevenson to
Stephenson. He married Mary Keeler of Augusta.
1826• The citizens of Iroquois, and Dundas county generally, received the news of the death of Dr. James Stephenson, on Monday, April 13th, as if he had been one of the family, as indeed he had been to many professionally. In 1900 he met with a stroke of paralysis, which rendered him an invalid, and necessitated his giving up a large and lucrative practice.
Deceased was a native of Augusta, and was born Nov. 19th, 1838. His mother, whose maiden name was Sophia Martin, was born in Augusta.
The wife of deceased was Mary, eldest daughter of James Keeler, of Spencerville, their union dating from March 28th, 1860.
