• Henry Bass, it is thought, lived on the original homestead, now in the town of Scotland. [83, p 91]

• Scotland was incorporated May, 1857, having been taken from Windham. The Congregational Church in Scotland is the Third Church of Windham and was organized October 22, 1735. [2708]
