• Suzanne Perkins, 80, of Fort Gratiot, passed away Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003 in Port Huron Hospital.
She was born to Westcott and Marjorie Smith on Oct. 26, 1923 in Port Huron, attended the Port Huron schools and graduated from Port Huron High School. She then graduated from Dennison University and taught school in the Port Huron Area School District until her retirement due to illness.
She was a member of Lambda Rho Tau Sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, and she attended Grace Episcopal Church.
Later, Suzanne married Alan Perkins and lived in Lapeer until his death on June 27, 2000.
She is survived by her step-son, David Perkins of Hollowell, Maine; her step-daughter, Ann Starr of Somerville, MA; her sister-in-law, Mary Jo Smith of Port Huron; and several nieces and nephews including Susan Bolton of Port Huron, Ann (Mark) Manning of Milwaukee, OR, David (Rhonda) Peacock of Port Huron, Thomas (Anne) Peacock of Eden Prairie, MN and H. Ted Smith of Port Huron.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca Blanton; her parents; her sister, Sally Peacock; and her brother, Henry T. Smith. [6613]
