2368• My Grandfather was Edward Julis [sic] Berquist. Grandfather Edward was a minister in PA with the family moving to Michigan in the 20s (near Ann Arbor). My Grandfather died in 1935 and I think basically contact with the other Berquist family members was lost with family members on the other side of the state.

• [excerpts] Immediately after her marriage she went to Sharon Pa., and engaged in rescue mission work, where her husband was superintend at that time. After three years in the work there, they accepted a call to New Castle and engaged in the same service to the Master here. They remained in New Castle seventeen years, when Rev. Berquist was called to the pastorate of the Community Congregational church at Pinckney Mich., entering the field there in December, 1929.
