He is described as a Dessenter, farming on 40 acres "of Land in cultivation by the Family", The family harvested 15 bushels of Wheat, 50 bushels of other grain, 25 tons of hay, owned 2 horses, 20 horned cattle, 25 sheep, 12 swine and 500 bushels of potatoes.
