• Mr. Martin left the newspaper business shortly before world war 1 and became associated with the Y. M. C. A. While working with the “Y,” he made a trip to Europe and two to Panama. Since he retired in Rockford, he had been writing a family history and a history of his class at Northwestern. He was a member of Court Street Methodist Church.
