• Pomona, Cal., May 22, 1905.
As a starter I will say I am a grandson of John and Annis Martin, the only son of their daughter Sarah Jane. Am living with my sister Lillie in Pomona, Cal., where I am raising some oranges and other fruits.
Was very much pleased to hear the letters from the relatives read yesterday. I think it is a great scheme. I certainly feel that it is an honor to be one of the numbers of the Martin family. Some of you I know well, and some not so well, or not at all. Greeting to all. Although not in the position of many of the writers as a head of a family, yet when any of you come to this country don’t let that hinder you from coming to see us as we have a home hive. We will welcome you and will treat you the best we know how.
