• Miriam is at Omaha, Nebraska with her husband. He as you probably know is in the signal corps of the Aviation service. He has passed his final examination, and has been recommended for a commission, and has made the required number of flights at Fort Omaha, and the other day his name was posted for a transfer from his present location. Miriam thought it would probably be to Macon, Georgia, or to Columbus, Ohio, possibly to France. Of course when he goes overseas, Miriam will return home. [152, p 2]

• Cards were issued Thursday by Mr. and Mrs. George R. Eckart of this city announcing the engagement of their daughter, Miss Miriam Eckart, and Marsden Scott Blois of Berkeley. The wedding is listed among Marysville’s social functions of this Winter.
Miss Eckart is a graduate of the Marysville High School and of the University of California with the class of 1917. She has lived in Marysville all her life. Her husband-to-be is also a University graduate, having finished in 1914. He at present has a position with the State Banking Department in San Francisco. A pretty bungalow is being built in Berkeley for the reception of the bride. Miss Eckart is a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Her fiance is a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. [8425]
