• Jeanne’s older sister, Mary Jo, passed away last Saturday night (June 3) after bravely battling complications from gastric by-pass surgery two years ago. Under hospice care for the last two weeks at her home, the entire family was at her bedside when she went. Mary Jo was 63 and leaves behind six adult children and 12 grandchildren, the majority in the Porterville area.
You will recall she was Jeanne’s Maid of Honor and closest “friend.” She had a zest for life, was extremely generous and always could be counted upon to provide a helping hand.
Mary Jo’s request there will be no service/memorial or internment. Her ashes will be scattered in the ocean off Pismo Beach.
She will be deeply missed.
