• In Aug., 1919, petitions were circulated to have the village incorporated. An election was held Oct. 28, 1919, and the vote was 53 to 1 to incorporate. Hannah H. James [among others] were chosen to prepare a charter.5165, p 2

• Hannah Mills James being duly sworn deposes and says that she is a resident of Marysville, Michigan and has resided there all her life. With respect to oil lease of Miron Williams to Levi Colborn dated January 2, 1865, Liber 19 of Deeds, page 102 this deponent says that said Miron Williams was her grandfather...

• Hanna Mills James died April 1, 1935. The executors of her will have not yet been confirmed by Probate Court. However, the residuary legatees under her will, viz, Emeline M. Elliott, David W. Mills, and myself, have executed the assignment. It is therefore fully covered.51

• Since coming to Marysville, Dr. James has been actively associated in the management of the affairs of N. & B. Mills and is Secretary of the Executors of the late Nelson Mills, having, under his direction, all the vast farm and land holdings of this estate.142

• [excerpts] Dr. William B. James, who became city physician ten days ago, died at the Port Huron city hospital today at 10:30 a.m, after an operation performed Tuesday for the relief of chronic organic trouble.
Dr. James was seized by an attack of what was though to be indigestion at his home Sunday and was removed to the Port Hospital city hospital Monday. An operation was performed Tuesday at 4 p.m. by Dr. B. E. Brush and Charles C. Clancy, who found the patient was beyond medical aid.
He was active in movements tending toward political reformation and was an ardent admirer of the late Theodore Roosevelt.8557
