• In Aug., 1919, petitions were circulated to have the village incorporated. An election was held Oct. 28, 1919, and the vote was 53 to 1 to incorporate. Hannah H. James [among others] were chosen to prepare a charter. [5165, p 2]

• Hannah Mills James being duly sworn deposes and says that she is a resident of Marysville, Michigan and has resided there all her life. With respect to oil lease of Miron Williams to Levi Colborn dated January 2, 1865, Liber 19 of Deeds, page 102 this deponent says that said Miron Williams was her grandfather...
