50, p 684• [excerpts] Dr. William B. James, who became city physician ten days ago, died at the Port Huron city hospital today at 10:30 a.m, after an operation performed Tuesday for the relief of chronic organic trouble.
Dr. James was seized by an attack of what was though to be indigestion at his home Sunday and was removed to the Port Hospital city hospital Monday. An operation was performed Tuesday at 4 p.m. by Dr. B. E. Brush and Charles C. Clancy, who found the patient was beyond medical aid.
He was active in movements tending toward political reformation and was an ardent admirer of the late Theodore Roosevelt.
