Miss Peggy Martin Dies After Brief Illness
POPULAR STUDENT IS MOURNED
[excerpts] Acutely ill only five days, Miss Peggy F. Martin, graduate of Pasadena Junior College last June, passed away early this morning at a Glendale hospital. For about two weeks she had suffered with serious sinus trouble which was complicated later by hypostatic pneumonia. She was taken last Saturday to Monte Sano Hospital, Glendale, where she passed away after a brave fight. Miss Martin, 21-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter W. Martin, 1782 Rose Villa Street, [Pasadena] had spent the past winter at home looking forward to her approaching marriage to Douglas Farnsworth, Pasadena.1034
• Peggy had asthma and the neighbor was burning something in the field next to their home. That’s how she died.8386
